  Officers responded to a larceny call on Station Bay Drive where a resident reported her watch missing after having work done at her home. She suspects one of the workers-because of course she does. Investigation is ongoing, and yes, the watch is probably somewhere it shouldn’t be.

• 🔥 Update: Deck-Fried Disaster in KDH
  Sunday’s West Arch Street house fire caused major damage and sent one firefighter to the hospital. It started on the front deck and spread fast. Friendly reminder: frying anything on a wooden deck is not coastal cuisine-it’s a safety hazard.

• 🏃‍♂️ PA Man Goes Full Grand Theft Auto in Kill Devil Hills
  Michael Harkabusic of Pennsylvania led deputies on a chase, crashed into a ditch, then tried to outrun them on foot. Spoiler: it didn’t work. He’s facing a bouquet of charges, from felony fleeing to “driving without two headlamps.” (TWO. Not one. TWO.)

• 🔫 Stolen Gun Found... By the Person Who ‘Lost’ It

  Police were called about a car parked behind a business on Duck Road. Turns out the owner had permission to leave it there. Nothing to see here- just an overly curious neighbor with time on their hands.
